EAST eatery is located in the busy lanes of 'Tianzifang' one of the most popular quarters in the former French concession of Shanghai where small shops with art and craft are next to local residents, restaurants & bars.

The traditional 'Shikumen' neighborhood build in the 1930th on Taikang Road is a 'must see' area in Shanghai - being the opposite to the shiny commercial Shopping malls.

On busy weekends thousands of visitors and local residents are exploring the 'maze' like lanes of this charming landmark of Shanghai

The building housing EAST Eatery is a small three floor lane house with a narrow staircase and a lot of history. On the first floor guest can experience the traditional Taiwanese Street Food 'Gua Bao' elevated to a new level. Out of the window for simple take-away or on a long communal table guests can enjoy these unique Asian delicacies in a casual way with unique flavors and combinations. In our open kitchen the Buns are freshly steamed and finished with tasty fillings. Additionally, we are offering different noodle soups and healthy salads.

Raw seafood and fresh chucked Oysters, Rice & Noodle dishes of different cuisines and flavors, slow braised meat with house pickled Vegetables. On the third floor we offer a private dining room & lounge for up to 14 guests for intimate dinners and private events and celebrations.
